It was back in December, 2004 that I started blogging at Sunshine Quilts. In 2007, during one of the Blogspot updates, there were a handful of blogs that just got lost and mine was one of them. It was days . . maybe a week . . that I couldn’t blog and you know how lost I would be without blogging. After getting nowhere with the Blogspot helpers, I started a new blog at Judy Laquidara. My last name isn’t easy to spell or remember for some folks so I never liked having that as a blog address.
In 2009, at the peak of offering free patterns and quiltalongs, I had to make a change to keep the blog running smoothly and switched over to VSP hosting, changed the name to Patchwork Times and that’s when keeping the blog running became too much for my limited knowledge of WordPress and Genesis frameworks. I figured Patchwork Times was kinda like a newspaper and at that time, quilting was the focus but it was also about family, cooking, chickens, pets .. you name it, and I think that’s been a good name.
There’s a new look coming to Patchwork Times soon. I’ve been working with a blog designer for a few weeks now. You may have noticed a new watermark on some of my photos. One computer is set to automatically add it and the others aren’t so depending on which computer I’m using and if I remember, the watermarks may or may not show up. I’m not sure how much more time we have to work on getting everything perfect before switching over but soon you’ll see a happy, fresh look here at Patchwork Times!

That looks bright and happy, like you. I’ve been with you through most of this story! It’s been good!

I know that some people will be shocked at changes – I usually am. But, I get used to it. Funny how that happens….
I do like that the chicken has a chef’s hat on (related to gardening, chickens and cooking) and the curlicue underneath which could be thread or yarn. It’s a perfect logo for you!

i have noticed the watermark and think it’s just darling. when i began following you (don’t remember the timeframe) there was some sort of “lime green kitchen” heading too, maybe a second blog?
