Our last design wall post for 2016. I’m so happy to be having updated pictures to share. Let’s home I’ll keep it up.
A little sewing time each day and I now have 20 trees made. I need only 8 more and the tree border blocks will be done. Even on Christmas evening, I ran to the sewing room and finished up a couple more tree blocks.
The deer blocks belong to my friend. Mine are safely tucked into their box til we get more sewing time together.
I’m hoping to get the remaining 8 tree blocks done today and then I’ll get started on the pinwheel blocks.
What’s on your design wall?

I too ran to the sewing room early (5a.m.) Christmas Day…to work on an American Girl doll blouse that was kicking my backside! The family began arriving at 9:30. Sewed my own clothes most of my life, sewed for sons, tailored for sons and husband, piece quilts…NO more doll clothes!!!

I was in the sewing room early Christmas morning, stealing time to work before everyone else got up.

I haven’t made a quilt for 2 years but this week I started trying to find the cutting table. It has been piled high for that 2 years and I have not been able to stand long enough to even attempt to move things. But I have made some real progress and I think I will be ready to give it a go by the beginning of the new year.
