In order to keep tomorrow’s stash report from being excessively long, here’s a little recap of this past week’s activity.
The Loopy Academy yarn arrived.
I ended up having to order one more skein of the Malabrigo Mechita (left). The one shown is purple (dark) and I realized I wasn’t going to have enough yarn in one skein to make a whole hedgehog family. In order to meet the minimum yardage, I ended up needing three hedgehogs and I do not like making those kinds of things!
The center gold and purple skeins are for a sweater for Addie to meet the bobble requirement. The skein on the right is for gloves . . another requirement that almost caused me to be a dropout.
I ended up with the following:
Malabrigo Mechita (130 yards x 2) – 260 yards
Cascade Ultra Pima (1 skein gold/4 skeins purple x 220 yards – 1100 yards
BaaRam Ewe Titus (1 skein x 350 yards) – 350 yards
Total Added: 1,710 yards
There were finishes:
First, there was a pair of socks that was a test knit that I can’t wait to show you. Those used about 400 yards.
Second was a KAL pair of socks that was another 400 yards used.
Third, the second pair of Diamondback Socks was finished . . another 400 yards.
The Black Locust Mitts were finished – those count for about 160 yards.
Finally – the hedgehog family is done! And surprisingly, Vince looked at them and said “Can I have one?” He was probably just trying to be nice but yes .. you can have three if you’d like!
Bless her heart . . Rita is scared to death of them! The three of them took a total of about 270 yards.
Total used: 1,630 yards. How’s that for almost offsetting the purchases? Two pairs of the socks I finished were close to being done so it isn’t like I made 3 pairs of socks, 3 hedgehogs and a pair of mitts in one week but I did finish it all in one week.
