Yesterday we started out just after daylight on a little road trip. Before we ever left the house, I was all set up in the car with my knitting. ESK has a little Flash Knit Along just lasting for a few days and it began yesterday so that’s what I worked on.
It’s a dark photo but it was still fairly dark in the car. I had my yarn, my ESK knitting bag in the floor and the iPad with Knit Companion and the pattern propped up in the glove box.
It didn’t take long before daylight had replaced the darkness. Our trip, and my project were progressing!
When I’m knitting in the car, my supplies are always nearby. This is the little cutout in my door. I can’t even remember who it was in my car the other day and they kept digging things out saying “Who keeps this kind of stuff in their car?” A knitter!

we had a couple different rental car models on vacation. More than once I forgot there was a HANDLE there and not a cubby! I got tired of picking up my knitting gadgets from under the seat!

I’m jealous that you can work in the car! I get motion sickness, so reading or doing any type of hand work are out for me. Throw in that I’m not a napper and you know why I do most of the driving on road trips. DH can both read and nap so he can easily pass the time if he’s not driving.
