My days are so routine . . everything seems fun and special to me but when I think about things to blog about, sometimes things seem boring and mundane. Bet you hadn’t noticed! 🙂
Besides multiple trips to the vet and Speck getting stung by a scorpion, there are little things that happen every day that I think . . I’ll tell my blog readers, and then I think . . no, that’s boring. So, today is just a whole post of boring stuff that normally doesn’t make the cut.
Friday . . Rita to the vet on the other side of town . . really in the next town. Brought her home . . all the way back to my side of the county, then went back to town for grocery shopping and meeting Vince for lunch.
Saturday . . Speck to the vet. Brought him back home and went back to town for things we needed (mostly things Vince needed).
Sunday . . Well, it started Saturday night. I was watching the TCU game and it went into double overtime. Apparently I was paying more attention to the game than to my knitting. I’m doing a test knit for some very cabley socks and way back . . I thought it was 18 rows back but it was more like 25 rows back . . I had a cable twisted wrong. I really spent all my knitting time on Sunday after noticing the mistake, ripping back and getting caught up again. The socks are going to be so pretty . . can’t wait til I can show them.
Monday . . Dentist. It’s time for my routine cleaning but those two new crowns are driving me over the edge. They’re just not right.
From the dentist, I went to the eye doctor to see what he can give me for the itchy, watery eyes. It’s allergy time at my house. And, I got new glasses just a couple of months ago and have already scratched them so they ordered new lens and I got those put in and, wouldn’t you know it . . they have a bigger scratch then the scratch I caused but I was almost late for meeting Vince for lunch so I told her I’d keep them til they can get more new lenses in. Met Vince for lunch. Went to Walmart and then to Penney’s (which is really about all we have here for clothes). I was so desperate for some tops. So . . what did I buy? Shoes and jeans!
Tuesday . . Knitting group but it got cancelled. I was kind of relieved. I needed a day at home . . all day at home! No makeup. No errands . . just me and my holey T-shirt/worn out jeans! I had already told Vince I wouldn’t be home for lunch and I was tempted not to tell him the knitting group was cancelled but that wouldn’t be right . . or would it? 🙂
This week, there’s so much going on, mostly with Vince’s work, that our routine is going to be out the window. I never want to wish my life away but I’m ready for normal, which will not return til Friday night.
I know . . some of you get up and get dressed every day and go to work or take care of family members . . I’m so blessed to live the life I live and I’m so spoiled with my routine.

I think the things people do every day are the most fascinating to hear about. I look around my neighborhood and often wonder: “what do these people do all day in their houses?” I have no idea. People’s routines are interesting! You can always see what special things people do on Facebook (like travel or parties or outings)…but how do they do laundry? How do they grocery shop (seems like I’m always the only one at the grocery store with a list)? Where do they shop? What do they disagree with their husbands/wives about? Thank you for letting us in on your slice of life! It’s always interesting, even if it’s cleaning or errands.

Even the everyday happenings seem interesting when you write them. There was a late 1960’s song called everyday people…….but then that was much before your time.

I’m a routine girl too and on those weeks when my routine gets rattled…aka:: more than my weekly trip to town to the sale barn and errands….I can get grouchy. And I’m always surprised that people take the time to stop in and see what I’m blogging about because I don’t think my life can be considered exciting for others to read about. I love it…it just surprises me that others want to read about it.
Keep on sharing your adventures though…we love reading about them!

But when your routine is doing what you want each day, it’s still annoying when something gets in the way. =)

I love your everyday posts! My day just isn’t right until I get to work, handle “first of the morning duties” & then sit down with my breakfast and my visit to your blog 🙂
