While in MO, I didn’t get a ton of work done on my Hitofude but I’m really, really happy with it. I hope I like wearing it as much as I like making it.
The construction is so unique – different from anything I could ever have imagined. It’s definitely a pattern where you trust the designer and don’t try to figure out where you’re going. You can see that the design is lining up. I had made a one stitch error the first time I tried and ended up having to rip it all back because the design below the ribbing was 1 stitch off from the design above the ribbing.
If you can kinda figure it out from this picture — the edge you see in the middle is the neck. The ribbing comes down . . kinda “empire” style. While sitting at a tire shop in Tulsa on my way to MO (4 tires out of balance . . after having had my tires balanced and rotated before leaving home!) . . I was at the tire shop for 2 hours and I was able to get all the ribbing done so what’s below the ribbing is what I’ve done while in MO.
This has to be finished before Christmas Day so you can bet I’ll be doing lots of knitting over the next week. It’s a good thing I like working on this one. I hope by the next “On the Needles” post, this one will be done!

I love the color. That sweater is at the top of my list for after the holidays. I have the yarn already – anxious to get started.
