Can you believe May is almost over and soon June will be over and half of 2015 will be over? Time flies!
My needles are loaded! In anticipation of a little house guest, I’ve cast on a couple of projects that require no thinking and can be picked up and put down without having to remember where I left off.
First is Sockhead Hat. I think this hat requires 4 (or more) inches of ribbing, then 9 inches of stockinette. I can do that while chatting with the family. The yarn is Northbound Knitting Merino/Silk fingering and it’s for the ESK Silk Sweetheart badge.
The second project is another mindless knit. The pattern is Beekeeper’s Tank. It’s for the ESK KAL #5 – No Sleeves. While I don’t wear many sleeveless tops, I will wear them under something else so I can see this being a useful little tank type top. It needs 17″ of stockinette – no increases, no decreases, no pattern . . that’s a lot of stockinette so it will be good to do while chatting. The yarn is Madelinetosh DK Twist.
The first skein of yarn for Camp Loopy’s first project has been caked. I’m making Pamuya and that’s not something I can knit while doing other things so I’ll work on it, beginning June 1 and put it aside once Chad, Nicole and Addie arrive, and then get back to it when they leave . . once I stop crying! The yarn is Hand Maiden Sea Silk and it feels yummy!
Lakehouse needs to be finished but that will probably happen once I finish Camp Loopy’s first project. All it needs is one sleeve but I just can’t get back to it right now.
