Mom had an angiogram this evening and she has multiple cerebral aneurysms. They’re sending her home to take a blood thinner for about 10 days and then she will go back to Houston and have surgery. They won’t have a date til Monday. Not sure what I’ll do . . go to Houston for the surgery or go to their house after surgery to help.
It’s definitely been a roller coaster for them and it’s still very serious so continued prayers are appreciated.

Prayers to continue. I’m thinking while you might comfort your dad during surgery, you can’t really help there, but at home in LA, you could help a lot. I’m glad you have a diagnosis and solution so quickly.

Judy, thanks so much for the update. Prayers will continue. I also think a short trip to see your Mom before her surgery might help all of you. I know it is a roller coaster ride, but you will pull through it. Just pray that your mom does. Hugs from California.

Pam Masmar says
You may be happier with yourself in the long run if you do both – go for surgery and help afterwards. Having lost both of my parents to illnesses, I don’t regret being with them, holding hands, wiping brows, cooking, and caring for them. Being “with” the individual and the spouse is very comforting. 🙂 Prayers sent for your family.
Pam Masmar says
Oops, Judy. I overstepped my boundary. I’m sorry. You are very capable of deciding what to do. Sorry. Pam

Prayers for your Mother, you and your family. If it makes you feel more at ease to know, you can get anywhere you want in Houston without going on a freeway, bridge, etc. Search the directions on the internet and put in no freeway or toll road. It may take a little longer to arrive at your destination, but it can be done. Please feel free to contact me, and I will be happy to help you work out a “low road” route. I’m praying for all to go well.
