The best part about their vacation for me is that the next trip they take will be to Texas! It’s still a while from now but I can’t wait. I’ve been shopping for toys for Granny’s house. I’m hoping Vince will have time to build her a swing. I wish they were coming here tomorrow . . but they aren’t.
They’ve been in Louisiana for about 10 days and are now back home.
My guess is this picture was taken at the beginning of the 12 hour trip and not at the end, though Nicole said she did great in the car. She looks pretty comfy with her feet propped up on the back of dad’s seat!
Louisiana beaches aren’t anything like Florida beaches but . . hey . . it’s Louisiana and that counts for something.
Not sure if Addie is fishing or if Chad is the only one fishing but they were at my uncle’s camp. It’s so peaceful and nice there.
There are no beaches close to my house and the fishing holes have about all dried up so I’m not sure what we’ll do for entertainment while they’re here but I’m betting we can come up with something.

entertainment? chickens… you have chickens !!!!

She’s used to chickens. Her other grandma has chickens and rabbits! She’ll have fun checking for eggs but I don’t think I can entertain her 10 days with chickens.

She’s TOO adorable. It seems like it was “just the other day” that she was a cute baby.

Holly Beach! I know that beach! I usually go to Mae’s Beach, tho. They were very close to me! 🙂

Garage sales are a great place to pick up grandkids toys. A little sad my grandkids are too old for most of the toys I picked up.

What a little firecracker! She is just unbelievably adorable! I’m sure you’ll find plenty of things to do together – no worries Granny. Just being TOGETHER is the best thing of all. 🙂

I’m sure you will find things to do! It will be fun no matter what.

She’s growing like a weed!

What a little cutie that Addie is! Looks like she’s grown a lot taller?

Try a roll up chalk board for Addie to play with… https://www.pinterest.com/hbahora/sew-chalk-cloth/
I got my chalk cloth at JoAnn’s (use coupons). I found little zipper cases at the Dollar Store to hold chalk & erasers
~(flannel with batt just stitched around raw edge). Scrap fabrics work for the cover. Rather than a binding I cut the fabric enough larger than the chalk cloth so it could be turned over the edges and stitched. The little cosmetic bags stitch easily along an edge. Chalk was on closeout at the office store – 25 cents/box 😉
My first mat went to Easter Dinner with friends. Now even their neighbors are going to make some. Good for most ages. Google has lots of ideas. Other things too if she has one of these already.
