OK . . I won’t really sing. You can thank me later!
You know how much I love The Loopy Ewe. I love their yarns. I love their fast shipping. I love their service. If you’ve read my blog long, you know that.
Here’s an example of how wonderful they are . . I am making another test knit for Laura Aylor and I need one main color and 3, 4 or 5 colors to be used as stripes. I never have a problem choosing yarn from The Loopy Ewe because their photos are always spot on exact. I can’t remember ever getting a yarn and thinking . . it didn’t look like that online. Well . . to tell you the truth, the yarn I’m using for one of my Loopy Academy projects .. I didn’t think it looked like the picture but once I knitted a bit, I can see that it looks exactly like the picture. When rolling the yarn from a hank to a cake, the outside becomes the inside and the inside becomes the outside and in the picture, I had seen the outside, which was now the inside . . ok . . I know . . I’ve lost you but it makes sense . . trust me.
So, I started choosing colors and sometimes, even with really good photos, it’s hard to know how colors are going to look together in real life. I sent TLE an email and said “Help!” and explained what I needed. I wasn’t even thinking about it being Monday because most of the time, I don’t know what day of the week it is anyway . . nor do I care! They’re closed on Monday but yesterday morning, I received an email with a link to a project page they had set up for me.
For the main color, I ended up going with the dark gray on the left. The one on the right was a little too brown. I wanted 5 stripes so I left off the purple-y one on the right bottom.
Thank you to Sheri and all the elves at The Loopy Ewe. I couldn’t spend so much money do all the knitting I do without you!

Lovely colors! (I love The Loopy Ewe too). Just wish they were still only 2 hours away from me instead of across the country…

Looking forward to seeing the sweater! Love the colors of the yarns you’re going to be working with. Care to share the brand/colors?

That is going to look great in the colors you are using!

They have helped me with color choices in the past- I include a message such as “do these 2 shades go together?” and they have been great to help me out. That new project planning page is great for matching the colors now!

I love Loopy too. Before the move they were only a couple miles from my home – I started thinking that was a little too close for comfort (budget), then they moved to Fort Collins (an hour from my daughter’s home) and I can still visit TLE in person a couple times a year. Unfortunately, distance has not helped – I seem to be ordering more yarn than I did when I could visit the shop as often as I wanted! Oh well, there are worse addictions.
