Someone has a birthday this week. I had wanted to be there but am not brave enough to make the trip by myself til the kidney stone issue is resolved.

I cannot believe how much she’s grown since I was there last . . it’s been over 5 months. When Nicole’s mom saw this picture on Facebook, she wrote “Such a happy little fish” and that’s so true . . she’s always happy. I remember what Chad told me about Nicole when they were first dating and I had not met her yet. I said “Chad, tell me about her!” and he said “She’s always happy. You never see her without a smile on her face.”
I miss them and the very minute I’m confident that I can get there and back without a medical issue . . I’m on the road!

I’m sorry you’re missing her birthday! However, when you do visit, you will have her more to yourself. (That’s an attempt to look on the bright side)

Judy, do you do FaceTime or Skype? Not the same as being there, but a really nice substitute. I was able to “be there” for my granddaughter’s 3rd birthday a week ago.
