Today I spent probably 4 hours in the sewing room. YAY! I’m not ready to say my sewing mojo is back but I had fun and enjoyed my time in there.
Mostly I worked on Tell it to the Stars . . working on the September steps so I can’t show you what I did. I’m trying to get . . well, I’d better say no more about that project.
Tomorrow I hope to find time to bind a quilt. There’s an already quilted top sitting on the cutting table and I know I made the binding for it already so if I can find that, I’ll put the binding on, finish it by machine and have a completed quilt. That will be real nice because I’m not so sure I’ve finished a quilt this year.
Anyone else spend any quality time in the sewing room today?

My quality time will be cleaning off the bed up in the studio… my son is driving down while his sister and kids are here and he needs someplace to sleep!
I need to clean up there – so this will be a start!

I walked through it, does that count?
13.5 pints of whole kernel corn and another 3 dozen to do tomorrow.
I’m thinking the sewing will come back after the garden is finished in how long??

I didn’t get to today, probably not tomorrow, but I did go to an AQS show Wed. and hope to sew SOME at least on Saturday. I’m glad you are back sewing, even a little.

I spent about 30+ minutes working on an art-quilt challenge…. It’s a 12″ block. I just need to bind it and add a little bit more “flare,” and it’ll be done! It’s already quilted as much as it will be, so the hard part is done. 🙂
Glad you got in there a little bit. Do you normally knit in there & hang out with Boots? How IS Boots?
🙂

I spent most of the day in my Happy Room with my two granddaughters. They made their first dresses and the results were amazing considering they are only 6 and 10 years old. Pictures on my blog dianashappyroom.blogspot.com

I’m one of those longarmers who has lost their mojo. For 10 years I’ve quilted hour after hour all day long and one day this spring, my mojo just up and left. I didn’t get my mystery quilt blocks done last month and I don’t know if I’ll get them done for posting for this month. I didn’t get my BOM blocks done for the last 2 months. My plan is to let my computer quilt today and try to get caught up with both the mystery and the BOM. I took up knitting in November for a bit of a change and am as hooked on that as I was quilting. It’s tough trying to go back.

quilting… yes! i finished an ongoing (25 yr) project just in time for our quilt show. machine pieced, hand quilted. nothing like a plan and a deadline to get things done. doesn’t always happen, but when it does it sure feels good.

I finished binding a QOV quilt that has been quilted for several weeks and I did a little knitting on a sock. I have been in my sewing room almost every day piecing tops, putting on bindings for hand stitching, so I’m doing a lot of sewing — just not anything for me. Maybe soon I’ll get one finished in my long list of UFOs.
So glad to hear that you are making progress on some of your quilty projects.

Two granddaughters visiting right now so no sewing time for me – between work and keeping up with them, the sewing machines are getting neglected. And neither one of them are even remotely interested in sewing with Nana. :-p
