My red hens that are just starting to lay are still laying the smallest eggs! Neither set of my previous chickens did this. They might have laid a small egg once but they jumped right in and gave us big eggs, often with double yolks, right from the start. The lady who split the order of chickens from the hatchery with us said hers are doing the same thing and she’s never had this happen either.
Tiny Eggs
The eggs in the bowl were all fairly small but look at that one really tiny one! I was so looking forward to getting some double yolkers and at this rate, I’m expecting to get some without any yolks at all! Crazy chickens!

My sister just received some chickens to raise for the first time. I feel almost like an “old hand” (at least in observation) in comparison! 😀
