There will probably be UFOs uncovered for the next few months but here are two to be added to my list:
Yes, there are ugly quilts and yes this one is ugly. I’m not real sure what I was thinking. But, it needs to be finished or . . at least added to the UFO list.
This is from a round robin probably 16 or 17 years ago. Some of the borders were pretty bad so I took them off and kept what you see. I have a hard time believing I made that center compass but I did. I want to add more borders and finish this quilt. It has memories . . lots was going on in my life at that time. I remember that all my stash fit in one little hallway linen closet. I remember pull the fabrics to make the center, and sewing in my little third bedroom sewing room. Life was different back then . . that’s for sure!

Somebody will love the UGLY quilt.
The mariners compass–isn’t it fun to see what we accomplished in the past. We were not intimidated with projects that some say are difficult or hard.

I bet some little child would love one of those quilts and think it was beautiful!

The ” Ugly Quilt” is not ugly at all. I’ve been staring at it trying to figure out the pattern. Did you design that one yourself? I would love to know some rough instructions – would be a great pattern for scraps for a donation quilt. Thanks for sharing pieces of your life via blogging!

That is odd, but not ugly – once it’s finished and quilted it will look great!

I remember my hallway closet days – the bottom shelves! And when my sewing machine was in the laundry room. And many other places. But, like me, you always had a sewing machine somewhere, didn’t you?

I had a couple ugly ones too. Some even had the “A” word. I just moved those to a new home and called them finished.

Neither of them look like you, but we do change over time. Someone will love these!
