9:15 a.m. and I’m in the sewing room. We have leftover smoked salmon for lunch.
Vince makes the best smoked salmon. He may keep me for my sweet potato pancakes but I’ll keep him for his smoked salmon. It’s better than anything we have ever bought already smoked. We have had good luck getting fresh salmon at Sam’s or HEB but since it’s over 100 miles to either of those places and last week I was begging for smoked salmon, Vince happened to be in Kroger and they were putting some out and he asked if it had ever been frozen and they said no, it was fresh. He bought it and I do believe it was better than any we’ve had before.
So . . lunch will be smoked salmon and leftover broccoli/cheese soup. Vince is grilling for dinner so I should get a whole day of sewing. Let’s hope!
This evening I’ll put up a blog post with a link box where you can post a summary of your Quiltathon efforts. Please be sure there’s a picture in the post related to what you’ve worked on because it will be a picture link box.
The dates for the October Quiltathon are October 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Can’t post pictures right now, but I’ve cut out a Peaches&Dreams (lap sized) and set some other blocks that were a UFO together. Only have borders on the UFO. Thanks Judy, for sponsoring the quilt-a-thon. I’ve gotten quite a bit done. Maybe in October I can finish up some of these things or make the Sing a Happy Song quilt.

I LOVE smoked salmon and my DH does a pretty good job of it. the way we eat it is to slather a toasted onion bagel with cream cheese then flake the salmon in top. If you haven’t tried it like that, you MUST! YUM!!
