For the blocks with the dark black for the center strip, do exactly what you did for the blocks with the light black strips except use a dark black 2-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ rectangle instead of light black. Make 14 blocks.
For each block, cut:
4 – 2-1/2″ light squares
6 – 2-1/2″ dark squares
1 – 2-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ dark black rectangle
2 – 2-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ dark rectangles
Sew the dark/light squares together as shown. For each block, make 2.
Sew a dark 2-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ rectangle to one side of each of the strips you’ve just made. Make 2 per block.
Sew the dark black 2-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ rectangle between the two segments just made, to complete the block.
Make 14 blocks.

Hi Judy,
wanting you to know I am playing along. I am making this quilt as a stashbuster and reducing stress. I see this quilt pattern would be great as an Amish quilt in the future. So I hope to make it again. Thank you for designing and sharing your talents with us. Hopefully,if I get quilt top that I am making now made, I could send a picture by snail mail to you .
