Center Blocks: Make 2 in different colorways:
Sew light and dark 2-1/2″ squares together to make a nine patch.
Add 2-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ dark strips on the left and right sides.
Add 2-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ dark strips to the top and bottom to complete the blocks.
Blocks with the lighter black strip running through them: Make 6 blocks, using as many different colorways as you’d like.
For each block, cut:
4 – 2-1/2″ light colored squares
6 – 2-1/2″ dark colored squares
1 – 2-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ light black rectangle
2 – 2-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ dark colored rectangles
Sew the dark/light squares together as shown. For each block, make 2.
Sew a dark 2-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ rectangle to one long side of each of the strips you’ve just made. Make 2 per block.
Sew the light black 2-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ rectangle between the two segments just made, to complete the block.

i’m going to be a week or two behind on this one, but i’m getting everything ready, honest i am. In fact i’ll probably make two of this quilt, each in a different color.
