Border Fabric:
1 – 2-7/8″ strip. Cut into 5 – 2-7/8″ squares (W)
Sewing Instructions:
21. Pay very close attention to the color layout and be sure you get the pieces in the correct place. Using the sections from Step 17, and Step 5, make the side triangles.
22. Cut 5 – 2-7/8″ border fabric squares (W) on the diagonal once so you have 10 triangles. Sew a 1-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ accent strip (F) (from Day #2) to the short side of one of the triangles. Sew a 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ accent strip (U) (from yesterday) to the remaining short side. Make 10. Refer to the color Layout to see which 4-1/2″ colored squares should be used.
23. Use a section from Step 17:
24. Using the sections from Steps 21 and 23, make the following:

Step #24: The bottom 2 diagrams duplicate the to 2. If I’m thinking correctly, the bottom left diagram should say ” (bottom)” and show color #’s 3 and 4. I think the botom right diagram should say “(left)” and show color #’s 4 and 1. Am I right about that?
However……I’m loving this quilt! It is growing on my design wall and it’s gorgeous. Had I seen all of the instructions at once, I would have been too intimidated to try it. But step by step and with a plethora of diagrams, it’s all just wonderfully do-able — so far.
