Anyone up to a challenge? There’s a lot going on with Bonnie’s Labor Day Mystery beginning and a new BOM coming out on September 1 but I feel the need for something quick and easy.
This is really a bad picture but I’m using Paint as I still don’t have PhotoShop on this computer. I do have EQ though! 🙂
My plan is to use the stash! Make the quilt on Saturday and count it in your stash report on Sunday . . that is . . if you have no weekend plans! I’m going to a quilt show in conjunction with the Little Balkans Days in Pittsburg, KS on Saturday but I’ll still get one of these tops made this weekend.
Think of all the possibilities for a quick quilt! Christmas gifts for teachers, co-workers, donation quilt – the groups collecting gifts for kids/teens could use a quilt, homeless shelters could use a quilt, veterans’ homes could use a quilt.
If you want to participate, here’s what I want you to do: THIS IS THE CHALLENGE: pull some piece of fabric from your stash that you can’t imagine why you ever bought. Something bright that you can add other colors would be nice. This will be your focus fabric. Even if you only have a yard of focus fabric, you can make this quilt.
In a day or so, I’ll add a Mr. Linky box so you can all share pictures of your focus fabric.
Anyone willing to participate?

Checked out the link, may have to change my plans with Grandma for this weekend! We were going to Carthage, but maybe Pittsburg instead!

Oh, Judy, how am I going to get my other stuff done when you keep coming up with these fun ideas??? Count me in (I am weak). And I can have some fun “shopping” downstairs for one of those whateverwasithinking fabrics.

Looks like a fun quilt…I’ll shop the stash and see if I have a yard of focus fabric. Should the focus fabric be non-directional?

Done lurking; will play. I’ll be on vacation but “Phyllis” (my Designer 1) will be with me.

I am up for a challenge. I have a couple of boys focus fabric that I want to make a couple quilts for Project Linus. I have all my fabrics so I can join and do as much as I can since I got two boys under 3.

Well, I have to work Wed., Thurs., Sat., and Sun. nights, so not sure I can keep up, but I have the PERFECT fabric for this. Actually, I have 2 such monstrosities, but I can’t seem to find any fabric that looks halfway decent with one of them. I don’t know WHAT I was thinking.

I’m a little behind on a few other projects, but this looks like fun. I have a great focus fabric in mind – now if I can just find it! Who knows what I may come across while looking for it.
