I meant to put this in the earlier post when I made cinnamon rolls and forgot. My favorite cinnamon rolls are the gooey ones . . the ones you have to use a fork to eat . . no way you would pick them up with your fingers and eat them.
Years ago, a friend told me that her mom poured heavy cream around the cinnamon rolls when they are almost done rising.
By the time they’re ready to bake, they’ve absorbed most of the cream and are just about to burst with the creamy richness added by pouring the cream around them.
Once they’re baked, they’re sticky but not doughy . . they’re just amazingly good! I don’t even want to think about calories or fat grams. We don’t have them often so I’m not going to worry about it.
You can see they aren’t oozing or anything like that . . just super moist, rich and fluffy. Yum!

Wow, that looks so good! My husband loves cinnamon rolls, and I think he would pick them up no matter how big a mess it made!

So you poured on the entire pint? I would not have thought they would absorb that much. But the second picture is just before you stuck them in the oven, right, and the cream is all gone!! Wow, if I lived closer to you, I would definitely clean you house just to get lunch!!!

Now if you put brown sugar and chopped nuts in the bottom of the pan before you put the cinnamon rolls in, then when you put the cream in it will make a delicious caramelly bottom. Enjoy!
