I know my problems are small compared to many but today (Thursday) was our furniture delivery day. Actually, delivery was one recliner. They were taking away the loveseat we bought last year and it is going to an upholstery guy to re-stuff the cushions and they were hauling away our old sofa. The furniture store will no longer take away old furniture for free but now they charge $50 for a sofa. ...
The Maker and The Needle Progress
There is decent progress on The Maker and The Needle Progress and I am enjoying stitching it. Mine will look a bit different than the others because I obviously can't count or read! :) I do not like counting those tiny holes so I stitched some of the words and then count up from there. The base of the center tree was supposed to start over the "E" but it was the "E" in Needle . . NOT ...
Tuesday Happenings
Tuesday! What a busy day. At 4 a.m. with the wind was so noisy that it woke me up. I tried to go back to sleep but at 5, I got up and it's been a busy day. At one point I thought about getting the ...

Back in 2013, I wrote a blog post ...
Almost Ready to Start the Garden

I'm currently getting eggs from a friend whose chickens are young layers and the eggs are large but most are not what I would call extra large. I was able to get 8 dozen in the current freeze dryer load. I will bake them at about 275 for 15 minutes, leave them out to cool, then run ...
