These two dogs crack me up. They "play" and I'm sure one of them is going to hurt the other. They're growling and snarling and snapping, then they wear themselves out and this happens. Perfectly aligned, as close as they can get, with their heads across my leg . . sleeping. Look at Oscar! He's so sweet when he's sleeping. His head on his paw . . not a care in the world but when he ...
Last Day of August Stitching
The end of July I wrote this post about my stitching plans. I had planned to work on Friends & Family from August 1 - 15 and I did. On August 11 I reached my goal on that one and started Rejoice Evermore on August 12. This is where I was when I started back to working on it. This is where I am today. I had hoped to finish this section except for filling in the house but that's ...
This Is How I Spend My Evenings
The dogs eat dinner about 4 and then they have this massive "play" session, though it doesn't look like fun to me. When they're both exhausted, I take them out, separately, to go to the bathroom and try to catch the bunny. Then we come in and they crash and I can stitch til about midnight. A lady on a cross stitching group had wanted to see how I position my stitching stand with the dogs ...
Sweet, Destructive Little Cooper

He still cannot be trusted but he no longer goes after something and shreds it into a million pieces before I can get it away from him.Oscar would chew on furniture, on the carpet, on everything! From Day 1 with Cooper, he was sweet and not destructive until he got ...
White Pepper
This is such a weird story. Some of you probably think all of my stories are weird. :) My mom was not an adventurous cook. She was a teacher and, of course, that was way before the internet and Google. The teachers would sometimes share recipes. My grandma's friends would share recipes at church so occasionally we had a new recipe to try but we kinda had the same things over and over and over! ...
Seed Saving
I save seeds from as many of my flowers and vegetables as I can, if I feel the need to do it. Some of the flowers re-seed themselves so, unless I'm wanting to plant more in a different location, I don't bother to save those seeds. Yesterday I went out and put some of the borage blooms in organza bags and the seeds will fall into the bags. I want to plant borage in a few other places next ...
