Tuesday! What a busy day. At 4 a.m. with the wind was so noisy that it woke me up. I tried to go back to sleep but at 5, I got up and it’s been a busy day.
Monday is my bread making day but yesterday we were so busy working in the sewing room and getting furniture moved to make a path to move out the furniture that’s leaving and switch things around. At one point I thought about getting the wheat milled and decided the bread making was going to have to wait til today.
I’ve been wanting a peach cobbler for months but we’ve been trying to lose weight and who wants a peach cobbler without ice cream? Today I decided I had to do it – bake a peach cobbler and leave off the ice cream.

I canned a lot of peach, apple and blueberry pie filling (not together) in pints so I used a pint of peach pie filling for the cobbler.

On the knitting front, I pulled out a few WIPs that I would like to get finished. I mentioned the Leftovers Cowl yesterday. When I got it out today to work on it, I decided I could stitch a “segment” per day. I can do that on the narrow bands but on the wider bands, it may take a couple of days to get those stitched.

The next band to be stitched is a wide one so I worked on that today and got half of it done.
Then I pulled out a cape like project called 14 Carat and got five rows stitched on it.

It’s really a deep royal blue. There’s lots of stitching to be done but a few rows each week and it will some day be done.
When Knit Companion first came out, I think it was just for IOS so I had an iPad which has been very much love and very much used but I will not buy another one. I hadn’t renewed my Knit Companion subscription in several years but now that they have Knit Companion for Android so I purchased that and got it set up on the tablet.
It’s fun to be back to knitting again but tomorrow is my cross stitching day with my friend and it will be fun to be cross stitching! Too many hobbies . . not enough time. 🙂

Hobbies are what keeps you young! People who retire with no hobbies are very bored. Me, I often wonder how I ever had time to work a full time teaching job!

I know the feeling of too much to do and not enough time. For you, it’s crafts; for me, it’s cleaning. I haven’t kept up with the house for years, and there are just boxes and boxes of stuff everywhere. I feel guilty working on a craft when the house is such a mess, so I don’t do any of it. At the rate I’m going, when I die, my kids will have to hunt for me in the mess, and then burn the place down to save having to deal with it!! 🙂 (Just kidding, but probably not far from it!!) 🙂
