There’s a Facebook group called May Madness and this year is the first year I’ve participated and I loved it. So far this month I’ve stitched 7,333 stitches!
The first 17 days, we had a certain number of stitches (decided by a wheel) to make each day. Starting today we’re in the “Championship” part of the challenge. Numbers will be determined by the “wheel” and we’ll have two days to get that number of stitches done. Today and tomorrow I have to get 750 stitches done. I was able to start last night and, so long as there are no unexpected weird things happening, I shouldn’t have any trouble getting that number of stitches made.
I knew the last couple of weeks, we would have more stitches we had to get made so I saved some of the big blocks of stitching. The snow that was remaining will be well over 750 stitches needed for today and tomorrow. I think I got about 200 of them stitched last night.
If I finish the 750 stitches before the deadline, I’ll stitch the rest of the windows so that Saturday night when we see how many stitches I have to make on Sunday and Monday, I can start stitching the house. I’ll only work on this project through the 20th, then I’ll switch over to A Changed World and stitch all the black background behind the letters. That should be enough to meet whatever numbers I have. From there, I’m not sure what I’ll do. I haven’t even looked ahead to see if I have any other large blocks of stitching but I’ll figure out something.
