Here’s the progress I’ve made on A Sampler for All Seasons by The Scarlett House.
I started this project September 1, 2022 and pretty much had all this done by the first week in October. I have recently stitched the rest of the third line and what you see of the fourth line.
The house on the bottom left is the Summer House and the called for color is white or almost white. I knew I was going to change that color so before I ever started, I ordered a few other colors that would be pretty for a summer house. I wrote about them in this blog post. This is stitched with NPI silks and I didn’t have an NPI stash so I had to guess at what colors I would use. These are the ones I ordered.
By the time I got to the point of starting the summer house, I had decided I wanted light blue for the house. That was maybe the first week in October and I had to order a couple of skeins of blues. At that point, I should have kept working on the text area while waiting for more floss to arrive but I put it up and went on to something else. Here we are, four or five months later, and I’m back to working on this one.
I probably will stitch through the weekend on this one. By Sunday evening, depending on how much I have left to stitch, I’ll either keep going or switch over to something else. I do love it and would love to have it framed and on our walls!
