I always wish I had taken a picture of my weekly journal pages before I start writing because my writing isn’t what I want to share or what anyone would want to read. There are three sections for each page. Often the last two sections of each day are like morning pages where I think of something like . . why am I here at this particular time in history? I even write things like “Why did I stop quilting?” or “Why did I start quilting?”
Anyway, by Friday, I try to have the next week “decorated”. I don’t decorate as much as some do and I’m sure I decorate more than others. This morning I put the finishing touches on next week’s spread so I cans hare it here before I start writing.
That’s how it all starts for a week. I love writing and I do think of it kind of as a brain dump. I will often go to bed thinking about stuff and if any of that resurfaces in the morning, that’s usually what I’ll write about. If none of last night’s thoughts come back to mind, there’s always something that pops into my head.
In the boxes are where I write stuff that matters. On Tuesday I have a doctor’s appointment. On Monday I give the dogs their heartworm pills and on Tuesday, they get their flea pills.
Over on the right towards the bottom .. that’s Sunday and those little boxes are where I check off the days I stayed home and didn’t have to leave the house. 🙂
Unless it’s a holiday or a birthday week for someone special, I never have a plan when I start. I look through my sticker books, find something that jumps out at me and start with those stickers. This week it was the red/blue flower arrangements. I put those down first and built around those.
Yes, I spend money on stickers and I spend time writing every day but I love doing it and I almost always buy stickers only when they’re on sale.
I don’t decorate the cooking journal and I’m not sure I’ll use many stickers on the cross stitch journal. We’ll see.
