Since I try not to go to town often and since going to Hobby Lobby often costs way more than I had intended to spend, any time I plan to go there, I make a list of projects that I might be starting soon and get all the floss for those projects. My good intention is to come home, divide the floss up into the appropriate project bags and stay organized but that hasn’t happened so much lately. I had a bin that all the floss went into. DMC, overdyes and just a couple of silks.
I keep thinking that I need to stop what I’m doing and get that floss organized. This morning, I thought . . Discipline! That’s my word of the year so I grabbed that bin, dumped it all in the floor. Oscar is in the crate because the radon man is here working so without Oscar “helping”, this would be a quick and easy job.
I divided it all up into piles according to the little containers I use to store the DMC.
All the DMC is in the correct storage container. The overdyes go into a container by brand and when I have more time, I’ll alphabetize them and put them on floss rings, alphabetized by color with each brand separate.
It feels good to have that accomplished!
