Nothing like planning ahead, huh? When your New Year’s Eve is as busy as mine will be, you have to plan early and prioritize. Seriously, I’m sure I’ll have no New Year’s Eve plans other than cross stitching.
I mentioned the Three Things Sampler in this post a few days ago. My friend, Denise, aka, The Enforcer of the “Do not buy anything this year” plan .. I’m not saying she bought the chart and the floss .. you’ll have to ask her about that because I’m not one to snitch on anyone . . but Denise and I decided to stitch Three Things Sampler together and we decided to start it on New Year’s Eve. I think Denise said New Year’s Eve is on a Saturday and I think she said she’s off work on Friday so she’ll probably start it on the eve of New Year’s Eve so . . if she’s starting on Friday, I will too. We all know Denise will be finished before I even finish the border but that’s ok.
The Chart:
As I’ve mentioned before, the chart is Three Things Sampler. It’s a big one but could easily be divided up and only parts of it done.
The Floss:
I pulled all the called for floss (all DMC) and the colors aren’t nearly as muted as I thought they would be.
Fabric:
I haven’t chosen a fabric yet. I did toss the floss across several different linens. There’s probably going to be one color that will need to be swapped out whether I use really light or a bit darker fabric but until I decide for sure what fabric I’m going to use, I’m not going to worry about it.
Start Date:
December 30 – 31, 2022 – either one of those days will work.
If you like this one – the design and the size and would like to start with us on New Year’s Eve, we’d be happy to have you stitching along with us.

I most definitely did buy the chart and floss for Three Things Sampler. I think you were sending me telepathic messages “buy this, stitch with me, buy this” so I succumbed. 🙂 I just got a notice it was shipped today so I should have it later this week. Can’t wait to take a look at the chart up close.

I thought about making my working copy but I put it all in a project bag (after making the floss tags) and I’ll look at it later. Thanks for stitching it with me. You inspire me to stitch faster.

I would like to sitch this one with you. My back ordered fabric came while I was away and I am pretty sure that I kitted the thread already. I love this one a lot!
