These are more raised beds or planter boxes. Chad is making me four of these and he’s using gorgeous cedar.

Aren’t those pretty? I told him I wanted them 12″ tall but if I had known how pretty they were going to be, I would have had him add at least one more board to make them taller and have more of the pretty wood showing.
Can’t wait to get them, get them filled, get a fence built and get plants in them. I’m thinking in at least one of these I may plant strawberries.

We made ours of cedar last year but it wasn’t that pretty! They are just gorgeous!

Those ARE nice.
You’re going to have a lot of raised beds to garden! I know it won’t compare to Texas, but you’re not abandoning it altogether!
Judy Laquidara says
It will be so much easier to garden here – rain, not so many bugs, not such scalding heat all day!

I was thinking just the other day that you probably don’t need to check your shoes for scorpions every time!
Judy Laquidara says
No. I haven’t seen a scorpion here. I’m not going to say they aren’t here but I haven’t seen them. We do have spiders but so far, I’ve seen a couple of tiny ones in the basement is all.
Susan Nixon says
Oh, those ARE pretty! Much nicer than my old bathtub full of tomatoes and peppers. =)

Hey . . whatever works!

So pretty!
