Most of the linen for cross stitch that I have on hand is either solid or a bit tonal but I love those speckled, splotchy linens and am always on the lookout for them. Last night I found two new ones. They’re quite hard to find and I assume it’s because there are few of them dyed and also, there are a handful of us who love them and snatch them up when we find them. It’s funny because I found these at Kitten Stitcher and one of them had this “warning”:
PLEASE NOTE!!!! PLEASE NOTE!!! This fabric is not for the faint of heart.
That warning should have caused me to walk away but I kept going back to it and, before going to bed, I ordered it.
Of course, I’ll show pictures when it arrives.
This is a piece that arrived a few days ago.

I had a hard time getting a great photo. There is an orange-y gold that my phone just isn’t capturing.

This fabric makes me smile. I’m not sure what I’ll do with it but I’ll keep it in mind as I’m looking for future projects.
It’s Jack-O-Lantern from XJuDesigns and her linen is some of my favorite.

It sounds perfect for a Halloween/Fall project!

That’s what I was thinking and as I was looking through charts last night (when I should have been sleeping!), there were two Halloween charts that might work but I didn’t make any decisions yet.

Funny way back in the day 1980’’s we worked so hard to keep our cross stitch fabric pristine white!
