Boots is Getting More Confident

Windows Wrap

Boots is such a good cat but we have a problem. I think he’s starting to like Vince more than he likes me. What is wrong with the critters in this house? You can almost see the frown on Rita’s face when she realizes I’m the one going in to feed her or take her out. Now, it looks like Boots is liking Vince better than he likes me. What is up with that? 🙂

He comes upstairs most every day and spends a good bit of time. He isn’t 100% comfortable upstairs yet. Any little sound he isn’t familiar with and he runs down the stairs but within a few minutes, he’s back up.

He loves laying in the sun.

The sewing room in Texas has 12″ deep windowsills, as does the basement here so he likes sitting in those windowsills. He keeps looking at the “normal” windowsills on the main level and today he got up in one but kept falling out. He’s a bit wider than those are. I told Vince since he’s only ever known the wide windowsills, he’s probably thinking “who screwed up when they built these narrow ones?”

When I went to take my nap, he followed me in the bedroom and got in bed with me. I was going to let him stay since I’m washing the sheets tomorrow but he started licking me and I kept trying to get him to stop and he eventually got down.

Vince went downstairs to watch a football game. Boots ended up in the room where my jars of food are stored, jumped up on a shelf and knocked one off and it broke. I keep the door to that room closed but Addie had been showing her other grandma the house and I haven’t been downstairs since then so the door was left open. Our fault but thankfully Vince cleaned it all up.

I’m so glad Boots seems to be adjusting well. I also think Rita is getting used to everything. Her tummy issues seem to be solved. When Vince leaves again, we’ll see . . she may have a hard time with that but we’ll deal with it if it happens.
