It is so hard to just stay home and not go out when there’s something I seem to need every single day. Yesterday morning I picked up a grocery order and was sure I wouldn’t be leaving the house for at least a week! This morning I got up, dust mopped the kitchen and hallway, accepted that face that I really need my Dustbuster which is in Texas. We have one there in the sewing room and one in the house but I figured here, we could keep one in the garage, one upstairs and one downstairs so having three wouldn’t be bad. Ran to Walmart grabbed a Dustbuster, a couple of darker rugs – one for the front door and one for the door coming in out of the garage. I also got a dustpan that has the little soft broom attached. I have dustpans here but all the little brooms are missing and getting dust into the dustpan with a dust mop just isn’t doing the trick.
Then I ran by the former owners’ house to pick up a garage door opener they had found. Both their cars have remotes built in – only one of ours does. They had one garage door opener but knew they had another one somewhere. It’s funny because they kept saying “We’ve looked EVERYWHERE but we know we have it.” They have a big haunted house they run on weekends for the month of October and they have a hearse that they drive around in during October to promote the haunted house. When they got in that thing, there was our garage door opener. So, it’s spent the year in a hearse!
She and I have been missing each other, mainly because either I don’t look at my messages or they don’t come in til hours after they were sent but I stopped by there today to get the garage door opener and came home with trail mix and cookies she had made!
Now I want to make her trail mix – it’s so good! But, I’m not going to the store and I know I don’t have everything here to make it so I’m going to unpack a few boxes that were delivered yesterday.
It’s crazy how much stuff we have but how much stuff we still need. I actually don’t even remember what I’ve ordered . . guess that means it’s too much.
