Knitting is NOT what I should be doing but in my defense, Vince and I worked very hard this morning. We got all the food buckets organized, stacked and ready to be moved.
Just as we were finishing with the buckets, the shrink wrap arrived and we shrink wrapped a lot of rolls of batting. Obviously I took the photo before the batting was shrink wrapped.
In the house, I finished up an extra bedroom that I’m sure I’ve finished up at least twice before and stuff keeps appearing in that room for me to box up.
Then I made Rita a big batch of dog food, put it in smaller containers and froze it while Vince cut the okra.
While we sat and rested before starting something else, I knitted up a swatch or the Itatiatia Cocoon.
This, of course, isn’t the color I’m using but Miss Babs always sends out a little smidgen size sample of yarn with each order. I had this Yowza piece and since Yowza is what I’m using for my sweater, I used the sample to swatch. The pattern calls for 3.75 mm needles. I’m a loose knitter so I swatched with a 3.50 mm needle but I think I may need to go up a size. The pattern gives a gauge for blocked and unblocked and mine has too many stitches per inch so I’ll go with the 3.75 mm needles.
You know what I’m about to do – start knitting on it. I just can’t wait!

Swatch colors are just beautiful. Know you will not use them, but a terrific, beautiful combination!
