I have a fairly knew iPad . . as in . . not much more than a year old. I dropped that poor thing three or four times. I rarely drop my electronic devices but, even with it in a case, the screen cracked in multiple places. It’s one of the models that the screen cannot be replaced. I use the iPad every single day knitting since I use the Knit Companion app. I was so afraid that with all the cracks, it was going to stop working and leave me unable to use Knit Companion so I bought another iPad and gave the cracked iPad to Addie. I explained to her that she had to be really careful with it and told her it could stop working at any time. I kept it but always brought it so she could play with it in the hotel, at the apartment and now at the house.
When I left there yesterday, I left it because that’s one less thing to haul back and forth.
Last night when I went to bed, I was reading on my iPad. I remembered putting Addie’s iPad in one of her drawers but I didn’t remember sticking mine in my computer case which is where I always put it for transporting it back and forth.
When I got home, I immediately opened my computer case to look. No iPad. I was so sad – how was I going to knit without Knit Companion?
Just before bed, I remembered that I had stuck it in the pocket on the back of the passenger seat. I have no idea why I put it in there but was so happy to have it.
When I left MO yesterday, it was so nice not to have to load the car with everything I was taking home. I had my purse, the computer case, the iPad (which I obviously don’t remember having!), and a small cooler with food and drinks for the road. Everything else stayed in the house! That was really nice!

On a good day I can’t seem to keep two thoughts running together at the same time. In the process of a major move would have my brain cells doing back flips. Best of luck!

Yes . . back flips. That’s what my brain seems to be doing. I think we’re too old for any more moves.

Even with cracked screens the iPads seem to work a long time. My daughter has slept with hers and broke the screen. I was not amused and refused to buy another one. So far so good.

So glad you had a good trip! Hope Addie had a wonderful birthday. Also glad you are home safe and sound! We may get rain Tuesday so I hope you brought some home with you! LOL

How nice not to be loaded down with things!

It was so nice!

I dropped my iPad, the screen cracked, and I put clear packing tape across the cracked part. The iPad worked for two years before we took it to a Batteries Plus store and they replaced the screen. Obviously, that was before they started making the ones you cannot change out the screen.
