Congratulations Chad!

Remember that when we lived in Kentucky, Chad would laugh at the guys who drove pickup trucks and spent their free time hunting and fishing!

Here’s the page from the local newspaper today. His buck won second place and probably would have won first place except he trimmed some fat off when he was field dressing it. He wasn’t planning to enter the contest and then his taxidermist talked him into it.

There were some decent prizes for second place but the first place prizes were pretty amazing for such a small town. I think Chad is already planning how he can get first place next year! ๐Ÿ™‚

His 4 day per week job turned into a 5 day per week job, and now they’re working 6 days a week. That didn’t leave him a lot of time for hunting but he did good. I think bow season is still open and he’ll hunt with a bow on his only day off til the season closes. They use the meat and count on that to help with the grocery bill so I hope he’s able to get at least one more this year.

Way to go!! They don’t do that around here. They might take a picture for the paper if it’s a really nice one (same with turkey) but there’s never a contest of any sort. Congratulations, Chad!!!

Congratulations to Chad! The first time they had the big buck contest here, I thought they said big butt and I was going to enter! Seriously, I really thought they said this!

Congrats to Chad. We have ‘Curly, Moe & Larry’ hanging in our house. One of them is in Pope & Young.
