There were two yarn packages that arrived yesterday. The second one was all Madelinetosh. I think once you read why I bought these yarns, you’ll think it was a good decision, and it was all purchased before I said I wasn’t buying more (unlike the Miss Babs yarn that I still haven’t figured out!)
This is Tosh Merino Light. It’s a single ply yarn, which I love for shawls, cowls and even fingerless mitts but I know it isn’t good for socks (not strong enough) and I figured it wasn’t good for sweaters either but several of my knitting friends love it for lightweight sweaters. I have a ton of single skeins but didn’t have enough of any one color for a sweater so I bought this to try for a sweater. The color is Laurel.
I bought two sets of two to make two brioche cowls. Brioche is one thing I am going to learn next year and everyone has told me that a plain cowl is the best way to learn brioche.
The colors shown above are Wino Forever and Beautiful Liar.
The colors below are Arctic and Purple Rain.
I did get another shipping notice from Madelinetosh yesterday and it’s for the yarn I ordered to make Vince a sweater so I’m happy that is going to be delivered.
