I saw a recipe on Facebook the other day for tiny bunless burgers. When we grilled burgers a few days before, I seasoned up a pound of ground meat but we only cooked two burgers so I used the rest of it to make these little burgers, which were roasted in the oven.
I love pepperjack cheese so that’s the cheese I used for them.
The only thing I changed was instead of using a dill pickle, we used jalapeno peppers. That’s required in Texas!
The dipping sauce was delicious.
There are so many good recipes available for the keto diet. Who really needs a recipe to make something like this but I hadn’t thought of it.
Vince said he felt like he was eating fondue, which I hadn’t thought about in years. Did every one of you have a fondue pot at one time? Do you still have it? We had one but it’s been years and years since I saw it. I think it’s no longer around but it isn’t something I miss enough to get another one.

I still have two fondue pots – one that’s good for cheese and a second one for meat (higher sides). I haven’t seen them in a while, so they are well stashed away!

OMGosh we had company for dinner last night and they brought the appetizer and you’ll never guess…it was cheese fondue….I hadn’t thought about fondue in years…..it must be on everyone’s mind…..

I know that food goes in and out of style but fondue, and my fondue pot, and I are still good friends. We still make fondue as a casual dinner several times a year. Is the pot in the back of the cupboard? Yep! Am I giving it up? Nope!

When I lived in Chicago there was a restaurant (I don’t remember the name any more) that had fondue on the menu. We would get the cheese fondue as the main dish and then get the dessert fondue–melted chocolate with fruit–usually strawberries and fresh pineapple chunks), marshmallows and pound cake as the dippers. Yum! (I haven’t thought about that for years…)

If that’s a grape tomato, those would make a great appetizer side. I think I used to have a fondue pot, but I never used it much, and it’s gone, like yours. But someone at church has a fondue fountain because we have chocolate for strawberry dipping at several women’s events each year! =)

I am on my 4th pot … Two were absconded by my grown daughters and one broke, so I bought a stainless steel one instead of ceramic. My first one was … well lets just say it ended up in the trash …
