Lotto Cards

Eat, Sleep, Knit sends out lotto cards with all orders over a certain amount – $30 maybe . . I can’t remember. Once you reach “10K” status, forever you get 2 lotto cards with each order over whatever that dollar threshold is.

I have this huge stack of cards setting here. Some of them are for 50 yards for the Yarnathon (I’ll get 1,500 yards extra); there’s credit for future purchases (I have over $100 of credit) and tote bags (I’ll get 2).

Vince walked by, picked up the stack of cards, shuffled through them and said “How many cards do they send with each order?” Being an engineer and having taught math at the college level, he could very quickly have figured out how many orders I’ve placed since November (when I last sent in cards). No way was I answering that question.

I said “It depends on what level you’ve reached!” which was true and seemed to satisfy him. Note to self: Keep those lotto cards out of his sight so he doesn’t ask questions.
