After being in the kitchen really ALL day yesterday, I was so looking forward to sitting in my chair and knitting all evening. Rita’s dog food was going to be ready to come out of the freeze dryer about 8 p.m. but by 7:00, I was afraid I’d never get up if I waited another hour so I went and checked it and it was ready. It ended up being 6 quarts of dried food and each quart lasts almost two weeks so that’s at least two months worth of dog food.
While I was busy with the cranberries, Vince went to get the mail. Yarn! I think he felt bad because I was on my 5th or 6th load in the canner at that point and he probably knew it wasn’t a good time to aggravate me about more yarn arriving. He said “More yarn!” and stuck it by my chair.
So, when I finally sat down last night, I decided to open the package.
And more yarn!
This is my new favorite yarn for colorwork.
What am I going to make with this? I don’t have a clue! 99.9% of the time, when I order yarn for a specific project, I put it in my queue on Ravelry. Apparently, this time I didn’t do that. There are 9 colors, along with 1,125 yards of gray so . . that tells me I was going to use grey as the main color. There are 5 skeins of pink, 3 skeins of white and 1 skein each of 7 other colors. I must have had a plan.
I went back through my patterns. Nope, nothing there that uses this number of colors. Maybe it was something from the Strange Brew book. I went through all the finished projects (LOTS of them), thinking I had seen something in there I wanted to make. Nope.
I placed the order on November 4 so I went back through everything that was posted on November 3 and 4. Nope.
I don’t have a clue. Hopefully tonight I’ll have some time to sit down with the Strange Brew book and see what I can find in there. I’m quite sure I had a plan. I would not have ordered all these colors if I hadn’t had a plan . . next time I’m writing everything down!
Anyone believe that?
