Breakfast with grandparents at Addie’s school was so nice!
We had to be there at 7 and I actually doubted that I was going to be able to get dressed and leave home by 6:45 this morning. My days of getting up on time, getting dressed quickly and out the door on time seem to be over. We actually made it with time to spare.
Addie and I got in the car and both said “We should have worn a jacket!” By the time we got to school, the temp was 55°. It actually felt pretty good to me but Addie was cold.
She was so excited to have her grandparents coming to have breakfast with her and see her classroom and the work she had done. Nicole’s dad met us there. I wish we would have had someone take our pictures together but . . neither of us thought of that. Nicole’s dad did get some pictures of Addie at her desk but there were other kids in the photos I took so I’m not going to share them.
It was a good morning. They had the book fair all set up in the cafeteria and Addie found some books she had to have. She even found a couple for her mom. She’s such a sweet girl. There were cinnamon rolls, milk and juice in the classrooms for the grandparents and students. The cinnamon rolls I’m sure were frozen and then baked but they tasted so good. I wish I could buy some like those . . no . . I don’t wish that. I have to go back on my diet when I get home. Sorry I remembered that! 🙁

This sounds like a wonderful morning! We always had the book fair at parent conference time. This sounds like a good time to have it, too.
