The first cool snap and I’m wanting Green Chile Chicken Chile. I asked Nicole and Chad if that sounded good for dinner tonight and they agreed that it would be perfect.
So, that’s what’s for dinner when Chad gets home.
I still have to add the cilantro and sour cream before serving.
It’s kinda nice cooking for Chad and Nicole. I love cumin and Vince doesn’t like it all.
Chad has a jar full of cumin . . I assume he likes it as much as I do.
I asked Nicole if she likes cilantro. Yes. I asked her if Chad likes it. “Oh, my . . he LOVES it!” Vince doesn’t like it and I love it. So, I was able to add cumin and we’ll add plenty of cilantro to the soup.
This dish seems to be popular in the last couple of weeks. I saw a variation (aka white chicken chili) on another blog, printed it and then made it. After mostly following that version, I wrote down what I might do differently next time. I also then looked at many of the variations online, and yours has additional possibilities too. It is definitely soup/chili season…or close enough 🙂 My husband will pretty much eat anything and rarely ever complains. My son however, is not a fan of most flavors typically consider Mexican but I don’t know if it’s specifically cumin he finds offensive or the peppers and/or chiles…maybe it’s all of them.
