Gorgeous Hand Dyed Yarn

I don’t remember how I found Wendy . . probably someone posted on Ravelry a project they had made from her yarn. I just went back and looked and it was about a year ago that I ordered my first yarn from her. Her Etsy shop is Wendy’s Wonders 127. Her Etsy shop says “On Etsy since 2011” so she was around for a while before I found her. It must be that more and more people are seeing her yarns knitted up on Ravelry because as soon as she posts an update, the yarn is gone. She’s also on Facebook and will post her updates there.

Her yarns are so gorgeous and I want them all. No surprise there!

Since I had switched to a new computer, I didn’t know my FB password and after four days of no FB, this morning I bit the bullet and reset my password. I hate doing that because by the time I get around to logging in on the phone, and the tablet and the desktop, I will have forgotten the password and have to reset it again.

This morning I was on Ravelry and a knitter had answered a question I left in a group and when I clicked on her name (Houndknitter) and then looked at her projects (which I had seen before and is probably where I first found Wendy), she has the most gorgeous shawls and many of them use Wendy’s yarns. Then I went to Wendy’s Etsy sight and after the night with the wild critter outside, the color “Keeping the Wolves Away” just jumped into my cart. This one is 600 yards.

How gorgeous is that? I can see a Fall shawl with shiny beads.

Then, I got on Facebook and Wendy had a post showing a video of a yarn she was just now sending out. It was a pre-order yarn and I missed the pre-order but she said she had one extra skein so I quickly wrote her and said I want it and . . I was able to get it!

The color is Over the Hills and Far Away. How cool is that? I can think of all kinds of analogies to “over the hills and far away”. I can hardly wait to get my hands on this. It’s 800 yards so I need to find the perfect pattern to use all the yarn.

If you’re in the market for gorgeous hand dyed yarns, please check out Wendy’s Etsy site. No affiliation . . just a very happy customer!

Now you’ve done it! I just made my first ever yarn order. Could not resist that Hydrangea Bouquet.

Glad I could help you enter the “wolves den” of Wendy’s yarn! I am seriously addicted as you saw on my project page. Gail (aka Houndknitter)

Those are beautiful colors. If it were embroidery perle thread, I’d be buying it, too! By the time I saw the post, she had gone on a break, but I’ll check back, because you never know … I might need to crochet something. =)
