Distractions

I am not a monogamous knitter! Knitting one thing, start to finish, just doesn’t seem to work for me. Lack of self-discipline . . that’s what it is.

A few days ago I was looking at Ravelry and came across Autumn Palette by Svetlana Gordon. She has the most unique patterns. I have several of her patterns but am not sure I’ve ever made any of them. I kept thinking about Autumn Palette and would love to do it for Camp Loopy but I’m not sure The Loopy Ewe has any long changing yarn. I’ve looked and I sent Sheri an email about it. If I can find yarn at TLE, I may make this for my July project.

Before committing to doing this for a Camp Loopy project I thought I’d better practice so I found some Wollmeise yarn that I thought might be a bit long changing in the colors (it wasn’t) but I had started making something else with it and decided I didn’t like how that was turning out so I was ripping project #1 out to start project #2.

Ripping

This is the point where I was thinking this might not be such a good idea.

Autumn Palette

The pattern is fun and even though it takes a lot of yards, it goes quickly and it’s interesting. There’s a lot of I-cord and that takes up a lot of yarn.

I doubt I get to use this for a Camp Loopy project but I’m thinking there will be one of these on my needles soon.

Love the colors and the way it changes. Fall is my favorite colorway!

I fell in love with that pattern too but refused to let myself buy it until I finish my other project from her designs that’s on my needles. She has the most unique projects/

It looks pretty with the changes it has. I look forward to seeing what you use to make the real one, then.

Another rabbit hole! I love this pattern – it looks like a fun knit. Unfortunately I’ll have to order yarn for it. DARN!
