Rain!

Communicating with Vince

I’m fairly certain that all I have to do to cause rain is wash my car and maybe that’s why it never rains here . . I never wash my car but late last night, I was thinking maybe I can just write a blog post about how the rain always misses us and then the rain will decide to head right towards our house!

Rain

Right before we went to bed, the thunder seemed to be getting closer. It wasn’t scary . . even Rita just looked up a few times and went back to sleep. We went to bed with it drizzling a bit, before I fell asleep, I heard that it was raining quite a bit. When I got up and checked the rain gauge this morning, we had almost an inch.

I had already convinced Vince that he had to help me pick beans this morning but it’s going to be a muddy mess out there and looks like it could rain some more so I think I’ll park myself in the recliner and knit. I told Vince “We won’t be picking beans today.” and he said “Darn! I was already getting myself psyched to pick beans.” My husband is NOT a gardener!

LOL – Sounds like Vince was really torn up about not being able to pick beans :-D.

We had 2 rainstorms here, I was out with a friend to lunch as this was her last day here as she was changing jobs and moving else where in the state. My poor dog was in the closet(due to the thunder), so I got out the thunder shirt when I got home and put it on her for round 2. She slept through it all, which I was thankful for yesterday!
