Bread is my weakness .. along with ice cream, Dr. Pepper, cake, pie, potato chips .. you get the picture, right?
These baguettes are so crusty on the outside and so “holey” and chewy on the inside. What I really want to do is open them up lengthwise, cram a whole stick of butter inside, wait for it to melt and then eat the whole thing!
This is close to the recipe I use but my recipe calls for weighing things out and I use King Arthur All Purpose Flour.
Really, I could make these things every single day and I’d be happy . . big as a barn, but happy!

Do you use a baguette mold/pan? They look wonderful. My instant pot is under the Christmas tree. ( I don’t know anything about it 😉 ) Can’t wait to try it!

Let me know when the butter has melted & baguette is ready to eat!

I am glad I waited until after dinner to see this.
DH isn’t interested in bread, so any baking I do is consumed by me. Therefore, I don’t do much. *sigh*

I was also wondering if you used a mold….also did you use your own yeast…..I was born and raised in San Francisco and they have the best Sourdough…….I can buy their yeast….I have never made bread before, but this is the year I am going to teach myself how to do it……
We live only 3 hours from SF and cannot get their bread….bummer

I see that I’m not the only one who would be eagerly awaiting the butter melting! Shame I can’t bake like that – I suppose I could, but I’m diabetic and bread is not for me!

I’m another that is wondering if you use a mold.

I have been craving a crusty baguette today and then I see your post. Now I am salivating and thinking that I need to try that recipe.
