For several nights now, we’ve had salads and every time, I’ve put a lot of these golden sugar snap peas in them.
Every night I’ve said “everything except the tomatoes came from the garden!” Our dinner conversation last night:
Vince: Did you get these peas at Aldi?
Me: (Didn’t say anything . . just glared at him!)
Vince: What? Are they beans . . not peas?
Me: No. They’re called Golden Sugar Snap Peas.
Vince: They’re so fresh. Where did you get them?
Me: THE GARDEN!
Vince: We have peas in the garden already?
I guess he’s thinking that just 2 weeks ago I planted purple hull peas and last week I planted cream peas and he was forgetting that the sugar snap peas were planted quite some time ago and he knew the purple hull and cream peas weren’t producing yet.
About twice a week, I drag him through the entire garden and point out everything and how well (or not) that it’s doing. I guess I now know how much attention he pays to my little garden tour.

Too funny, my husband says if he’s not looking straight at me then I have to assume he’s not listening or retaining what I’m saying. lol

HEY! At least he noticed how FRESH they were!!! HAHA

Yes – I’m with Sherrill: at least he appreciated their freshness and commented! Many blokes would have just munched through them without even noticing. LOL
