All day while Vince is gone, Rita sits in his chair and waits for him. It’s so cute to watch her. She sits on the sofa in the morning and watches him walk out the door. I wait til it gets a little bit more daylight out and then I go let the chickens out. She knows when I get up, we’re going outside and she’s happy to jump up and go with me but then, when she comes in, she goes straight to Vince’s chair and waits for him to get home at lunch.
Waiting for Vince
Except for eating, going outside every now and then and checking to see what Speck is up to, Rita spends most of her day sleeping in Vince’s chair . . waiting for him to get home. Then, when he gets home, it’s a celebration like you wouldn’t believe. Rita is already excited but Vince does some little movement that gets Rita to “dancing” . . really, she’s just going around in circles but Vince says “Dance, Rita! Dance!” and she goes on and on.
It’s nice to be loved!

Awww …. that’s so cute! Our two Doodles are about the same. Every time I move they jump up in hopes of going outside, but other than that they sleep the day away or pace back & forth in front of the windows waiting for Daddy to get home. And when he does? Holy moley – it’s Katy bar the door time. When Daddy gets home it’s party time! You’d think he’d been gone for a couple of years given the jumping, spinning & yelping going on but no … it’s been 8-9 hours …. LOL!
