All day while Vince is gone, Rita sits in his chair and waits for him. It’s so cute to watch her. She sits on the sofa in the morning and watches him walk out the door. I wait til it gets a little bit more daylight out and then I go let the chickens out. She knows when I get up, we’re going outside and she’s happy to jump up and go with me but then, when she comes in, she goes straight to Vince’s chair and waits for him to get home at lunch.
Except for eating, going outside every now and then and checking to see what Speck is up to, Rita spends most of her day sleeping in Vince’s chair . . waiting for him to get home. Then, when he gets home, it’s a celebration like you wouldn’t believe. Rita is already excited but Vince does some little movement that gets Rita to “dancing” . . really, she’s just going around in circles but Vince says “Dance, Rita! Dance!” and she goes on and on.
It’s nice to be loved!

I have been following your blog ever since the sewing bug bit me a couple of months ago. I love how you blend in stories from real life with sewing tips and projects. We just purchased a sewing machine so I am excited to delve into the world of sewing! Oh, and I added you to my list of blogs that I follow-that way I can catch up on all your news before I start writing mine!

So glad Rita found y’all, just like Boots found y’all. They have the best life with y’all and provide so many “fun” stories!

Now Judy do us a video of that. I bet it is so darn cute. I’m glad VInce has Rita there waiting for him just like a child would be. She came to your house for a reason and it must have been to pal for Vince when he is home.

I want to see a video, too! What a delight for Vince! Who would have known Rita would love daddy so much?
Question… is Speck any happier that Rita is living in the house and does Boots miss having her with him?
My sisters chi does the same thing! She tears around in circles, running as fast as she can! You are right – it is a big celebration! Makes us all laugh. Cheers! Evelyn
awwww How precious !!

Awww …. that’s so cute! Our two Doodles are about the same. Every time I move they jump up in hopes of going outside, but other than that they sleep the day away or pace back & forth in front of the windows waiting for Daddy to get home. And when he does? Holy moley – it’s Katy bar the door time. When Daddy gets home it’s party time! You’d think he’d been gone for a couple of years given the jumping, spinning & yelping going on but no … it’s been 8-9 hours …. LOL!
Awwww…… sounds like my cat Dunkin. he will meet me at the door when I come home from work and meows like a scolding to me. where were you Mom? LOL
love love love them. and yes it is nice to be loved……
