Miss Winkle is Finished

Our First Loopy Academy Projects

I mentioned Miss Winkle last week. It was a project I had started in December and then put down and then stuck in the car as my traveling project. After finishing a couple of sweaters and not wanting to start anything big before my trip, I picked it up again and finished it before I left.

Miss Winkle

Miss Winkle

This isn’t the best picture (don’t I always say that?) because of the bad lighting in the house but Miss Winkle is done and I wanted to get a picture before I left. The pattern says to stick a dowel rod through the loops before blocking and I didn’t have time to block mine so the loops will be more pronounced after I get home and get it blocked.

It was a fun project, takes one skein of most sock yarns, and can be done without having to pay a lot of attention.

Oh Judy, you are way too productive! I really like this. The more you post about what you are knitting, the more I am thinking of getting back to something I haven’t done in, oh, maybe 30 years! I don’t think my husband will like you anymore if I start another hobby (LOL)! I have too much fabric. Do I need to start a yarn stash?

I LOVE Miss Winkle!! Absolutely adorable and definitely usuable! Continue to wish I could knit (but that’d never happen!). Will continue occasionally crocheting on my baby hat projects.

That is one of the prettiest yarns yet. I really like how it sets around the neck and shoulders. Please post again after you block it with your rods.

Love this project Judy. Yes, please post it again after it has been blocked with the rods.

Wonderful colors! It looks like it even has some lime green in there. What fun.
