A couple of weeks ago Nicole told me that a friend of hers was having a baby and they were doing the nursery in a giraffe theme and she wanted to make them a giraffe quilt. We looked at a few patterns and decided on this one. Next step was to find some fabrics. I pulled these and sent pictures to Nicole for her approval.
I thought the outer border was pieced but when I read the instructions, realized it was asking for a stripe for the outer border. Back to the stash . .
After swapping out a few of the other fabrics and finding this stripe, this is what we’re going to use.
Since Nicole is using a Singer 301 and it mostly does only a straight stitch, I fused the giraffe and did the stitching on it.
Nicole will do the piecing, and put it all together, I’ll quilt and bind it and send it back to her for giving to her friends. Teamwork at its finest! 🙂
